Diwali celebration

The celebration of Diwali ,'The festival of lights' came alive at Lushkary Preparatory School, Bikapur when the whole school wore a festive look with Diyas and lanterns adorning the corridors in bright colours. The rangoli done by students added the perfect setting to the festivity. Students talked about the significance of the festival - how good always conquered the evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. Besides sensitising students to the ill-effects of crackers, they also shared the guidelines on being safe while bursting them. The assembly concluded with Principal Ma'am giving away the message of a clean, peaceful and a bright Diwali.

Post office visit

Excursions are means of educating ourselves on how certain things work and how we rely on certain services. Classes 1, 2, 3 students visited the Local Post Office On 12th September, 2017.The children and teachers were welcomed warmly by the staff at the Post- office. They were taken around to see how letters are collected, segregated, stamped and then stored in pigeon holes for the postmen to collect. It was altogether a great learning experience for all the students and teachers especially in these times of email and whatsapp! The head master told about the online working of the post office and after gathering the entire information head post master distributed sweets to all the students so to encourage them it was delightful to see the excitement on the children’s faces.

Independence day & Krishna Janmashtami Celebration

It was a red letter day in the history of India when the country got her freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years to us to break shackles of slavery. People of the country celebrate this festival every year with great pomp and show.
Our school also celebrates this festival every year.

The Principal Mrs. Zabihun Nisha and Mrs. Leelawali koshwaha (MLC) was Chief Guest of the Programme. The Principal hoisted the national flag on the school building sharp at 9:00 am and sang the National Anthem. Then followed by the Cultural Programmes. Patriotic Poems and Songs were recited by the students. Some students also presented the group dance and skits.

In the end the chief guest delivered the short speech. She told the students about the supreme sacrifice the great martyrs gave for the sake of freedom. In the end of the ceremony, sweet-balls ( laddoos) were distributed among the students.

The Independence Day has a great importance in every citizen’s life. This day reminds us every year that freedom is sacred and citizens must do everything to ensure that it shall not be endangered.

There was one another celebration also “ Krishna Janashtami “ which was celebrated by the students on the same with full of enthusiasm.
